Art Asset Overview #10

This week I created a new hex crete variant, and tried some new ideas for the art direction in Overgrowth (which you can preorder here). I also tried out some production ideas to speed up development so that I can finish all the assets on time.

Working on the new material sounds got me thinking about animal voices for dialogue. Cats are easy since they are so vocal and well-known, it's obvious what they should sound like. But rabbits are a lot more challenging. Most rabbits make no noise at all, aside from the occasional squeak, grunt or snuffle.

In Lugaru they were all "screaarrawwwwk" or "breebbreerbreerbree" but some people found those voices to be annoying. We could give them more of a growling "thhrrrummthrrrumthrrrr" or "rrroooaaackraarrrr", but we might lose some of the vulnerable rabbity quality. Do you have any ideas for how the rabbits should sound? Should they be more like "re-brreebr-yip" or "papipipipum"?
