Overgrowth Alpha 66
Add comment!February 16th, 2010
Here is what is new in Overgrowth in the 66th weekly alpha. If you are confused what a weekly alpha is, or even what Overgrowth is, please read our fancy FAQ. Basically, we are developing a massive video game from the ground up -- we are able to do this completely independently by accepting preorders for the game before it's done!
Please note there is one big regression: due to the upgrade to Awesomium 1.5.1, the alpha does not run on Snow Leopard. AJS is working super fast to get this adressed and we should be back in business next week. Here are a few highlights from the source repository:
- Updated to Awesomium 1.5.1
- Scripts can play sounds
- Engine can call AngelScript functions with arguments
- Basic force push test
- Better transitions from ragdoll to animation
- Fixed crash-on-quit bug
- Fixed known grouping problems
- Improved animation editor undo
- Added grouping in rigging editor
- Shadows remain when changing sun color and diffusion
Thanks as always for all the support! See you guys in IRC and the forums.
