Help needed with Overgrowth Volunteer Orchestra
Add comment!April 16th, 2011
This is a guest post by Mikko Tarmia, composer of the Overgrowth soundtrack.
The Overgrowth Orchestra is a volunteer group that will be recording an 8-minute "theme and variation" of the Overgrowth main theme. We are looking for new players so we can finally finish the project. The arrangement itself has been completed for few months already, and we have a lot of the parts recorded. Over one hundred players applied for the orchestra, but as time passed, some of them dropped out, and now we are missing a few instruments.
We are looking for players of the following instruments:
- String instruments
- French Horns
- Trombones
- Clarinets
- Oboes
- Drums & percussions (does anyone play glockenspiel?)
- Banjo
- Saxophone
- Mandolin
Here are the requirements again - you must:
- be able to play your instrument
- be able to record your performance
If you can capture some of your playing into a video file, that would be great too (for documentation).
If you think you have what it takes, please send us an email at overgrowthorchestra@gmail.com. There's no deadline set, but once we have covered all the missing parts, we won't accept any more applications.
