Here is what is new in Overgrowth in the 72nd weekly alpha. If you are confused what a weekly alpha is, or even what Overgrowth is, please read our fancy FAQ. Basically, we are developing a massive video game from the ground up -- we are able to do this completely independently by accepting preorders for the game before it's done!

Overgrowth

Here are a few highlights from the source repository:

  • Can now choose directory to install Overgrowth to on Windows
  • Overgrowth now writes to the proper documents directory on Windows
  • Added single-sided triangle mesh collision response
  • Moved player collision detection and response into scripting
  • Added scriptable debug drawing for lines and spheres
  • New movement collision response to handle stairs and other rough surfaces
  • Fixed sky gamma issue
  • Improved crouch walk animation a bit
  • Disabled camera rotation when game does not have input focus
