Overgrowth is the new Lugaru 2.
Aubrey and I just finished the website for the game: http://wolfire.com/overgrowth. We hope you like it!
We will have more details and stuff for you guys coming soon. In the meantime, please check out the website!
So is this the new game SWEET!, rats i like it
keep up the good work
Excellent news, and a wise choice, whatever the reasons.
Lugaru, in comparison to the potential of L2 was more of a tech demo, a highly enjoyable game in it’s own right, but very much an indie project. To append this game with a ‘2′ would be to hobble its appeal.
Looking forward to it, Wolfire.
Jakkar: that was our thinking too.
Cool — I liked the name Lugaru but Overgrowth is awesome too. And the website looks great!

WOW! I love the new website guys! Like Jakkar said, I really think a new name would certainly set Lugaru and Overgrowth apart…. and it’s easier to pronounce =) Is the gameplay going to be significantly different, or is it ONLY a new name? Judging from the blog posts over the last few years, this game is going to be significantly better than the original.
OMG THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!

This is wicked!
Love the website

Heck yes! Awesome! Can’t wait for more updates!
It’s also cool that Rockpapershotgun and TIGsource made posts about the game.
that website is so cool! when are we gunna see the trailor?
I love the concept art =o
If you actually manage to make a well fleshed-out game in settings like that, based around a badass combat system, it would be incredible. I do always think that a lot of 2D indie games make much better use of really cool landscape themes & vertical space (like the Knytt games) than 3D games, so it would be amazing to see you pull it off in 3D.
Once you get a video up and give some details on the multiplayer (FYI, i would kill for co-op) I shall begin alerting as many people as possible =]
That web page is great! (I mean - there is no flash elements and animations work with w3c valid source)
PS
I had to use IE to post a comment
Hmm, posting works for me in Safari / Firefox.
