Please beta test our new blog system

For a long time, we've been preaching about how awesome the cloud is and championing Google App Engine and Amazon Cloudfront. However, one thing that has bothered me for a while is that our blog, one of the most visited parts of wolfire.com, is still served from a traditional web server running WordPress.

Thankfully, this will change soon! Over the past week, I've been working on a complete architectural overhaul of the Wolfire Blog. I've finished implementing a brand new App Engine powered blog that will be way better for us than WordPress in a number of ways. More specifically, I forked Nick Johnson's recent bloggart code, added all of the features we needed to it, and now we are almost ready to go!

However, before I pull the switch and officially switch over, I'd like to ask you guys to head over to http://wolfire-blog.appspot.com and test it out! Please try it out and let me know if you find any problems with it in the comments -- this would be a great opportunity to read some of our older posts and help us out at the same time!

I will explain all of the coolness of the new blog and blast WordPress in a new post, once we switch over. :)
