Rabbits In Space

In the same vein as our Cletus Clay post, we'd like to give a shout out to Cliffski at Positech Games for helping rabbits achieve their dream of space travel. Cliffski is developing an awesome game called Gratuitous Space Battles (GSB) and he just publicly revealed the new space rabbit battle cruiser. The ship was beautifully crafted by our lead artist Aubrey Serr and provides a fun way to introduce GSB fans to Overgrowth and vice versa.

Cliffski points out in his blog post how cool it is that at the drop of a hat, indies can run cross-promotions like this and use each other's content without getting bogged down with lawyers and corporate strategy meetings.

Agility is perhaps an indie's greatest asset, and getting publicity is perhaps the greatest difficulty. Cross-promotions are one way for indies to leverage strength to overcome weakness. While the big companies are at each others' throats competing for market share, indies can collaborate without cannibalizing each other. We hope this is a continuing trend and that indies will help each other more and more in the future.
