Terrain Shadows

I just got terrain self-shadowing working! I also started optimizing rendering by automatically baking all of the sky and sun lighting into a single texture, so the real-time shader can be drastically simplified. The texture in this screenshot is low-resolution just to test out the technique, I will have some high-res shots soon.

    cool :) By the way is that a picture of the whole map or just a portion of it?

    NICE! But is This a zoomed out pict right?? Oh and how are the borders of the map going to be done? are they gonna be like lugaru 1 where you just cant go any farther or is it going to be like battlefront or something saying “you are leaving the Ass-kicking arena” and then kill you if you go to far, or will it be like the edge of the world and you fall into darkness, or is it something else Completely?????????????????????

    It will probably be more like ‘you are leaving the mission area, are you sure you want to do this?’ or something like that
