This is a terrain used to test view distance and work flows for high resolution textures. We now have a consistent way of creating 4096×4096 terrain textures. Some graphics cards will support this, and we’ll be able to downsample the textures for lower end computers

That is awesome, the terrain is so epic … I just hope my graphics card supports it =D
I agree with viking zippy.
Epic.
Well on my laptop 8600M GT card that has 512mb memory, it says this:
vadi@ubuntu:~$ glxinfo -l | grep GL_MAX_TEXTURE_SIZE
GL_MAX_TEXTURE_SIZE = 8192
vadi@ubuntu:~$
which I *think* it means a 8192×8192 texture (dunno, got that command off the webs). So 4096×4096 should be a 216mb?
Nice terrain, i cant wait to run around in there.
